In the heart of Savannah, Georgia, the newly named Hotel Bardo set the stage for a breathtaking spring wedding. For Abby and Collin’s special day, Emma of Grace and Thorn crafted exquisite garden party-inspired floral designs bringing bride Abby’s vision to life.

Starting off Abby did not have a set vision for her wedding flowers, but only two standout requests: she wanted the elegance of Westminster Abbey garden roses to grace her bouquets and arrangements, and she envisioned incorporating Savannah’s distinctive spanish moss lined trees into the reception decor. The result was a stunning blend of classic sophistication and local allure, creating a floral landscape that captured both the romance of the occasion and the essence of Savannah’s enchanting atmosphere.

For Emma, a passionate admirer of garden roses, Abby’s choice of the Westminster Rose was nothing short of a dream come true. This exquisite bloom, with its cool grey-lavender hue, stands out for its unique texture and distinctive ruffles—qualities that perfectly matched the silver tone of Abby’s gorgeous bridal gown. Originally bred for the English Royals, the Westminster Rose’s royal heritage and sophisticated flair made it a standout choice for the wedding. Emma was thrilled to see this less popular rose play a starring role in the floral design, adding a touch of regal elegance to the celebration.

To showcase the enchanting allure of Spanish moss, Emma seamlessly integrated this distinctive element into the ceremony’s ground meadow. The delicate strands of moss added a layer of texture and whimsy to the floral design, enhancing the natural beauty of the meadow and creating a lush, ethereal atmosphere for the couple’s vows. This thoughtful incorporation of Spanish moss not only highlighted its unique charm but also perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of the ceremony.

Mr. G+T brought Emma’s creative vision to life with custom-designed elevated stands that resembled tree trunks. These bespoke pieces were meticulously crafted to enhance the garden party theme, adorned with a rich tapestry of textural florals and cascading Spanish moss. The result was a magical display that seamlessly blended nature and sophistication, adding a touch of Savannah’s signature charm to the reception. 

Emma is excited for a handful of weddings this Fall at Hotel Bardo, a stunning new addition to Savannah’s wedding scene. This vibrant venue, with its unique blend of bold design and sophisticated charm, perfectly complements creative floral artistry.
